You'll just need to run a proper calibration tool and turn up the brightness on the monitor a bit. Again, not an issue for me because I tend to work in relative darkness - the screen protector does help this a little. I have a big desk, so this isn't a problem for me, but some people might be disappointed that there are no buttons on the device. Lazy Nezumi also has a line stabilizer and some other nifty tools that are just nice to have, so I think it's a good investment for anyone using older Photoshop.

You can turn up gain and softness and that brings the XP-PEN down to WACOM-like pressures. How I solved this (since I have RSIs in both hands and an impinged nerve in my right shoulder), was using Lazy Nezumi to turn up the sensitivity of the device. The pressure sensitivity is full range, but you have to press down quite a bit harder than you do on a WACOM.

Don't twist the base around either, I broke one by doing that, whoops. They are a bit fragile, so they'll need to not be chucked around. It comes with two pens and a million nibs. The calibration is fine out of the box, and the parallax is what you'd expect - (parallax is the offset between the tip of your cursor and the cursor on the screen through the glass surface of the tablet.) It does come with a screen cover, though it's a little tricky to get on. What worked for me was not using the CD, but installing the drivers from the website and then plugging the tablet in. Getting to make the drivers behave was a bit of a pain in the ass, but I think XP-PEN has fixed that. It works great as a second monitor as well, and everything looks fine on it. I use it for 8-10 hours on the regular and it doesn't get too warm unless the room is hot. You can also break down the device and the stand so it all lays flat.

It's VESA mountable, and pretty light for what it is. In the time I've owned it, it's been mailed from PA to FL, and then toted multiple times across the Atlantic Ocean in a suitcase. It's a screen tablet like a Cintiq, and it was around 500/600 USD when I got it a year ago.
